I graduated from the University of Texas and bring over 20 years of experience teaching English and Special Education in private, public, and charter schools. Later, I joined Fort Lewis College’s TRIO program, where I had the privilege of helping underrepresented students pursue higher education. I also worked as a college advisor for the Roaring Fork Pre-collegiate Program at Roaring Fork High School.

Over the years, I’ve supported hundreds of students and families in Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, and beyond in navigating their educational choices and reaching for their college dreams. I believe that kindness, tolerance, and confidence are essential qualities to model for young people, and I’m deeply committed to the idea that every student—regardless of race, background, or social status—deserves equal access to higher education.

I work with students at all academic levels in the Roaring Fork Valley, helping them identify realistic and meaningful pathways tailored to their unique strengths and goals. As a parent who has gone through the college application process with my own children, I truly understand both the challenges and the rewards of this journey.

When I’m not working with students, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, our three children, and our golden retriever.
